Getting Your Mini-Max Order Home

Plans, parts, Mini-Kits, full aircraft kits, and large aircraft components all ship differently. This page explains how Mini-Max USA handles shipping, freight, local pickup, large kit orders, and what customers should expect before ordering.

Before you order

Small parts can ship like normal. Aircraft kits require planning.

Mini-Max USA sells everything from plans and small parts to large aircraft kit packages. Some items can ship by standard parcel carriers. Larger kits, long materials, fragile components, freight shipments, and pickup orders may require extra coordination before the order is finalized.

Large kit orders

Freight and pickup details may be confirmed after checkout.

Some Shopify shipping estimates may not reflect final freight, crating, special handling, pickup, or delivery requirements. If an order needs custom shipping coordination, Mini-Max USA will contact you before final shipment arrangements are made.

Shipping by product type

Different products need different handling.

The right shipping method depends on the size, weight, fragility, packaging, and destination of the order.

01

Plans & Manuals

Plans, manuals, and documentation generally ship by parcel carrier when purchased as physical printed materials. Delivery time depends on printing, handling, destination, and carrier service.

02

Small Parts

Smaller replacement parts, hardware, documents, and compact items may ship by standard parcel service when practical. Multiple items may be combined when it is safe and reasonable to do so.

03

Mini-Kits

Mini-Kits vary in size. Some may ship by parcel carrier, while larger or longer kit sections may require freight, special packaging, or pickup coordination.

04

Full Aircraft Kits

Full aircraft kits may require freight, crating, palletizing, staged shipment, or customer pickup. Final details are confirmed based on the kit, options, and destination.

Pickup option

Customer pickup may be available by appointment.

For larger orders, local pickup can sometimes be the simplest path. Pickup must be scheduled in advance so your order can be prepared, packaged, staged, and reviewed before arrival.

Please do not arrive for pickup without a confirmed appointment. Large aircraft kits and workshop-related orders may require additional preparation time.

Before pickup, plan for:

  • Vehicle or trailer size appropriate for the order
  • Weather protection for wood, parts, documents, and kit materials
  • Straps, padding, blankets, boxes, or tie-downs
  • Enough helpers to load safely if needed
  • Checking the order before leaving the pickup location
  • Written confirmation of pickup date, location, and order status

Freight shipments

Large aircraft kit shipments need extra coordination.

Freight shipments can involve carriers, crating, pallets, loading equipment, commercial delivery points, liftgate needs, residential delivery limitations, and delivery appointments. Mini-Max USA will help coordinate the practical next step, but the customer is responsible for receiving, unloading, inspecting, and protecting the shipment after delivery.

Residential delivery

Residential freight may cost more and may require liftgate service, delivery appointments, or other carrier limitations.

Commercial delivery

A business address with loading access may be easier for large kits and freight shipments.

Terminal pickup

For some orders, picking up at a freight terminal may be more practical than home delivery.

Inspection on arrival

Inspect packaging and note visible damage with the carrier before accepting or signing when possible.

Lead times

Some items are ready quickly. Others are built, packed, or prepared to order.

Mini-Max USA works with aircraft kits, plans, specialty parts, wood components, fabricated parts, and supplier-dependent items. Lead times can vary based on product type, current workload, material availability, fabrication schedule, order size, and shipping method.

Lead times may be affected by:

  • Material availability
  • Supplier timing
  • Kit size and packaging needs
  • Prefabbed parts or prebuilt wing ribs
  • Freight coordination
  • Custom or special-order items
  • Workshop and builder-assist scheduling
  • Weather, carrier delays, or other events outside our control

Inspect your order when it arrives.

Customers are responsible for inspecting shipments promptly upon receipt. If there is visible shipping damage, missing packages, shortage, or carrier-related concern, document it immediately with photos and written notes. Keep packaging materials until the issue is resolved. Notify Mini-Max USA as soon as possible so we can help determine the next step.

Shipping FAQ

Common shipping and pickup questions.

Can I pick up my order?

Pickup may be available by appointment for some orders. Contact Mini-Max USA before placing or finalizing a large order if pickup is important to you.

Do full aircraft kits ship by normal parcel service?

Usually no. Full aircraft kits may require freight, crating, palletizing, staged shipment, or pickup coordination depending on the model and kit options.

Are Shopify shipping prices always final?

Not always. For large kits, unusual items, freight, or special handling, the final shipping method and cost may need to be confirmed after order review.

What if my shipment is damaged?

Take photos, keep packaging, note visible damage with the carrier when possible, and contact Mini-Max USA promptly. Do not discard packaging until the issue is reviewed.

Can my order ship in multiple boxes or stages?

Yes. Some orders may ship in multiple boxes, pallets, or stages depending on size, availability, packaging, and carrier requirements.

Can you ship internationally?

International shipping may be possible for some items, but taxes, duties, customs, import rules, paperwork, brokerage, and delivery limitations are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Who is responsible for unloading freight?

The customer is responsible for being prepared to receive, unload, inspect, and protect the shipment unless specific arrangements are made in writing.

Need help planning shipment?

Ask before you order a large kit.
