1030F MAX-103
1030F MAX-103
The Part 103 Ultralight with
“Real Aircraft Performance!
Although the 1100R is a very popular ultralight and has an upgrade path that includes many options and a more powerful engine, these upgrades put it into the Experimental Amateur-Built (E-AB) category. Many of our customers like the good looks of the Eros or Sport aircraft, but want to build a true legal Part-103 Ultralight. That's why we developed the Max-103.
Why settle for a cheap bolt-together tube & wire ultralight with sailcloth covering when you can build the great looking, great flying Max-103 with it's "real aircraft" construction and covering? Properly cared for, the Max-103 will give you decades of flying enjoyment. And you'll have the deep sense of pride knowing you built this fine aircraft yourself. The low kit price includes a curved turtledeck, engine cowl and prop spinner for sporty good looks.
It's designed for great performance powered by a single-cylinder engine in the 28-30 HP range. Please do not attempt to install a larger, more powerful engine. This will exert excess stress on the airframe and put it over the Part-103 weight limit. If you really want a lot of power we have many great E-AB designs: the 1500 or 1600 Sport, Eros, V-Max or AeroMax. But if you want to build and fly the best ultralight on the market, the Max-103 is the plane for you!
